UKOA National Meeting: Recovering and Transforming Eye Services in Dudley and Diagnostics Pathways – Monday 29th November 2021

Thank you for your attendance at our UKOA Meeting on Monday 29th November!

We were delighted to invite our UKOA members to this virtual lunchtime meeting, as part of our new shorter more regular meetings which we hope make it easier to access for busy colleagues.

We heard a brief update on the progress of the National Eye Care Recovery and Transformation Programme (NECRTP) with a focus on the emerging vision and plans for the future of diagnostics and high flow ophthalmology outpatient services.

We then welcomed colleagues from Dudley, who shared with us how they are tackling recovery and transformation for ophthalmology in a small district general hospital, looking at the many barriers to change, successes in overcoming and the remaining challenges, and how a team effort has helped to take this on.

A special thanks to all of our speakers for their participation and time to make this meeting lively and engaging with a fantastic set of talks.

There was plenty of time for questions and discussion and we thank our UKOA members for engaging and utilising the chat box.
