Annual United Kingdom & Eire Glaucoma Society (UKEGS) Conference 2024

The annual United Kingdom & Éire Glaucoma Society (UKEGS) conference will be held at the National Oceanography Centre in Southampton on 9 and 10 October 2024 hosted by Nishani Amerasinghe.  Bringing together the best knowledge, research and networking opportunities in memorable venues, an iconic dockside location ensures a brilliant backdrop this year.   There is an exciting programme featuring speakers from around the globe including Tin Aung from Singapore, who will deliver the keynote Hitchings Lecture on the first day of the conference.

Amongst the many distinguished speakers on the second day, Mary Qiu from Chicago will be discussing neovascular glaucoma and answering questions from delegates.  A traditional highlight of the event is a debate that never fails to ignite the room. This year, Imran Masood and Leon Au will debate the nature of implants in MIGS.

To further ramp up energy in the room, the rapid-fire section features highly sought-after surgical insights from leaking blebs to tube surgery in the absence of sclera.

Continuous professional development points from the Royal College of Ophthalmologists and General Optical Council are expected to be available.  More programme information and tickets for the event are available from
